2008 Tour Taking Shape: Playboy Jazz and more
Herbie Hancock will be hitting the road in the spring with a handful of U.S. dates before a long visit to Europe.

The U.S. side of things kicks off with Herbie taking the stage at this year's Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl.

The Playboy Jazz Festival celebrates its 30th run this year, and a full lineup and ticket info are expected in late February.

After that, Herbie and band will hit Vancouver and Seattle before venturing eastward for a couple of dates and then heading into Europe for several weeks.

Another batch of U.S. dates is in the works later in the year, along with the possibility of visits to a few more territories before year's end.

In January of 2009, Herbie will join Marcus Miller on the inaugural Playboy Jazz Cruise.
