Herbie Hancock has teamed up with Vinyl Me Please to curate VMP Anthology: The Story of Herbie Hancock — an 8 album, 11 LP to celebrate his 80th birthday, and more than 60 years of altering the landscape of jazz.
The set includes albums spanning over his five-plus-decade career — from early albums as a bandleader, to later fusions of jazz with funk and hip-hop, and Grammy-winning work from the ’00s — these eight albums were selected to represent the scope of his work.
Housed in a custom designed box, the albums have been remastered by Bernie Grundman from the highest quality original audio source available (most of the albums are AAA), and pressed at GZ.
